Review - Joe Vitale - Expect Miracles

It isn't much of a secret I like Joe Vitale and much of his personal development stuff.I've yet to delve into any of his marketing and business related material.

This is pretty much Joe Vitale Success Stories recording.

I listened to Joe's Product X and my life changed. I can't wait to do one of these myself. This is the ultimate testimonial piece. For any product or person, testimonials are known to enhance a potential buyer's decision or choice. Without testimonials you are losing sales and or credibility.

Joe talks or reads a little, then voice over artists read the experience of others whom have had success with Joe's material. Within Joe's material there is an awful lot of repetition if you listen to his ideas about attracting what you want into your life. For me, it does sometimes seems, when he has a new way of describing what he already has said in a variety of products outcomes a new product.

If you notice he'll often say the missing secret or what I never have before told you about X,Y,Z. Even when each book, system or product is sold as complete and all you need for massive success. Repetition is good and an excellent way to learn, repeat or enhance your knowledge of a subject. Certainly if you follow people, on Twitter. So many are experts in the Law of Attraction or this and that.

Yet very few seem to come up with a revolutionary idea or thought. That is just my interpretation of what is going on. Yet as Joe rightly says different approaches work for different people. That is why you can have so many different products all doing and detailing the same information. Clients, customers need their way of understanding to make the change that they all want. Well, that makes my next product creation much easier and faster! Rinse and Repeat.

For me this is a great recording if you want a motivation pep talk, but not much else. I will however be listening to it again for that very reason. I think there are better things of Joe's to listen to if you want to change your life. I like The Attractor Factor and I can't wait to try (presupposes failure.mmm.) his The Secret to Attracting Money Home Study Course.

Review - Tad James - Deep Trance Phenonmena

All,

I find myself in the most wonderful hotel room and thinking I must write another blog entry whilst I can. This week I'm in Naples, Italy. Granted I'm on holiday, yet I have a few moments of down time before another excellent dinner.

After Richard Bandler's dig at Tad James on the last recording. I remembered that I had various recordings of Tad's that I need to listen to.

Once such recording is Tad's Deep Trance Phenomena Series. Much of the book on Amazon and the cassette recording that I heard are the same content.

As with many of Tad's recordings it is taken from a live training seminar. Thankfully Tad had set this up ahead of time and fully included, linguistically the 'home' listener. It is not just a recording of a seminar that the home listener can listen to and pretend to be there, yet isn't. Good Job! It makes a change to be fully included as a home listener and not as an after thought to make a quick buck.

I have heard various things about the live training that is comparable to this. In the past I believe this course was offered as a training course by the ABH. Listen to this and attend 2/3 days and be a trainer of hypnosis. Sorry that just can't cut the mustard. Yet maybe things have changed nowadays.

This recording is quite superficial in content and context. It is not meant to replace larger, longer or more in depth courses. Yet, I think it would be worth a listen to subliment your knowledge or before you attend another longer course. I know of others whom have used this and then had to give a demonstration of one the the presented inductions, using Tad's variant almost word for word, to raptious congratulations. The section on the history of hypnosis is pretty good. Tad talks about the contribution made by most of the well known hypnosis father figures and some lesser known figures.

I or many of my previous NLP instructors are from the Tad School of NLP and hypnosis. I'm certainly not convinced that this recording is by anyway enough to be a trainer of hypnosis. I think it will give you a good grounding in several different hypnotic induction techniques. Tad's use of hypnotic language patterns is very blatant. Yet, that I think is because I'm listening out for them. The lay person would not know Adam from Eve.

Tad spends time giving you the training hypnotist many examples of language patterns. Language patterns are something I am liking more and more.I am becoming far more facile with. NLP/Hypnosis language patterns was something that always scared me off. I think school may have something to do with it. Yet, something I have learnt is that it is never too later to learn the formality of language patterns. You just need to find your own 'hook' or strong enough reason that is FUN AND ENOJOYABLE, and you're away.

Throughout the recording he recommends books, books and more books. All of which you can purchase via him and the ABH. Although I've found most via Amazon or Alibris. I've gotten over my need for my books to be in sparkling new condition.

Naturally unless you are listening to the recording with somebody else or have a very willing person to help you. All, Hypnosis home study courses are let down my the fact that you can't do any of the inductions that are used and described. That is the nature of the beast. I think to improve on the product.

A DVD of the inductions and various language patterns in use should be included. Yes you can go to YouTube, yet it is just not the same and not everybody is in love with YouTube. I'm sure people are already starting to dislike all things Google, just like they did when Microsoft was becoming "all too big".

Richard Bandler - Bandler Listening Overdrive

All,

As part of my 'clearing my mp3' binge that I'm on at the moment.

I seem to be on a bit of Bandler fest at the moment. If you don’t know Richard Bandler is one of the co creators of NLP. He is also an exquisite hypnotist too.

In what I understand is typical Bandler style. I couldn't tell you exactly what was said or what was done. He is phenomenal at multi level communication. i.e. one sentence multiple meanings.

I’m listening to his stuff, of which I have lots because I want to learn more about hypnotic language and language patterns. I just think and feel that these must be useful in my everyday life. I know they are since I spend much of my day doing hypnosis. Yet, I want the ‘formalized’ knowing behind it all.

I know I got many of the so called patterns of hypnotic communication, yet I also confidently know that I missed many, yet my unconscious mind is a faithful recorded of everything, it got them all! Happy Days. Listening to so much, can only but improve my communication skills and language.

Bandler does tend to repeat many of the same stories, throughout his seminars. I’ve yet to attend any of his seminars her in UK, not the greatest fan of his promoter here in the UK, Yet, he has been on my list of must sees for ages. He does seem to have a groupie following and many participants seem to laugh and any and al his jokes. Maybe I missed all the language subtlest, or was he doing a hand gesture, which since I’m listening to the audio, I’m not going to get.

He has a tendency to swear and cuss, yet that aside; he is a master story teller and ‘logical’ thinker. He’ll tell you something and you think, oh yeah, oh no, how could I have missed that? He does seem to ever now and then belittle his own excellent previous work and other NLP trainers, many of those you will know.

Maybe that was him, then and not now?

I know that very often, you’ll attend a seminar and have a headline act and several supporting cast members. I just wish he wouldn’t do it. The other presenters, no matter how good he tells you they are. They are just not in the same league. For me, they don’t even copy him that well.

I listened to Sleight of Minds; I’m sure he opened this up and said it was all about Sleigh of Mouth. Yet, to me the whole recording was about submodalitles. Not what I wanted. The quality was very poor too.

I also listened to Your Own Personal Genius - These are an exquisite collection of sessions, where Richard helps various people simple over come various issues. I’d higly recommend listening to this.

I also listened to DHE 2000 collection. This is pretty long and extensive. It is meant to take you beyond what is NLP. From the audio collection, I didn’t get this. Simplistically, it was more submodality enhancements. Instead of using what you already know about submodalities, you now begin to design your own submodality tools to enhance your life.. Maybe you had to be there.

Bandler is great to listen to. I think you’ll miss much of what is going on, unless you attend the seminars. Yet, to just soak up him, his language and skill you can’t go far wrong.

Review - Dave Wygant - Self Love

All,

I've starting to clear up, as Raymond Aaron would call it one of my messes. (Change doesn't have to be chaos). I am going through my mp3 player and listening to things that I have copied onto it and not listened to yet. Some mp3s can and have sat on my player for months and months and still never get listened to.

I had a spare hour the other day and listened to a track called Self Love by Dave Wygant. This is an audio track that is from his No Excuses package. I've not listen to this yet.

The Self Love Track is just under an hour long. It is aimed at men, yet the information could easily apply to women and children as well.

Dave is very direct in his language, he can and does swear. Not my cup of, yet as a speaker he is very engaging and direct. He had me laughing to myself as I was walking in the sunshine. Always an excellent sign. Being miserable does take a lot of effort.

I would say that not loving yourself, is perhaps the biggest missing secret in this whole law of attraction thing or getting what you want. Did you read that? Not loving yourself is stopping you big time.

Your biggest problem is your ego. The best thing you can do is leave it at the door!

Dave asks some very probing questions, that you really should take the time to answer.

i.e How do I judge myself?
What am I jealous of?

Since you now journal, are you recording your daily wins? Who did you meet? What did you share? How and what did you both win?

He recites one of the best answers I've every heard for what love is. This inspirational piece is worth the cost of the product alone!. If you're in a relationship, if this doesn't spark something within you. All I can say is there must be dead people on better form! Loving yourself is the best love affair you can have!

Listening to this I think will give you a wake up call. Remember if anything comes up, you can realease it easily and quickly with EFT.

Even though I do no love myself I deeply and completely, love forgive and accept myself.

Review - Jim Rohn - How To Use A Journal

After a recent shout out to people on twitter, about, whether they use a journal or not and how. I was pointed to this easy recording by Jim Rohn.

This is something you can easily listen to in an hour or so.

This product makes me realise that there is pretty much a market for anything and everything.

I've been using a journal in various guises for the last 4 years. I have used ordinary paper and then various, shapes and sizes of book.

What Jim described to me was more of a daily diary, than what I know of a journal to be. "Dear Diary..."

I diary my events etc, when I'm travelling, yet not normally when I'm at home and being "normal". I journal, things I've heard or read. Not, today this happened and I felt.

A few things I liked. i.e the idea of creating an index in the back of my own diary system.

Moleskine, if you're reading this, can you add page number to the pages?

It did make me think I need to diagram and doodle more. If you're not an artist. I can easily recommend the following book by Nancy Marguilies.

I've set up a few reminders so that I review my writings, weekly, monthly and yearly. Only time will tell how this goes and whether I do it consistently.

I actually felt much of this information was rather simplistic. Do you need a whole section on why and how to journal? I think if you have the inclination to write, doodle or journal. You will. It is not something you can be forced to do.

Review - The Quantum Cookbook

The Quantum Cookbook, is another manifestation, law of attraction course. I am pretty certain for you, like me, this is not the 1st time you will have read or head something like about this topic area. It does seem all the rage.

Why do you continue to read things like this? I think more than likely, it is because you still do not have what you want. Yet, a part of you still believes you can have what you want.

The Quantum Cookbook method is a several step process. Most of the steps you will have heard before. That aside, I actually rather liked it. It gives explanations about quantum physics and manifestation, that I think everybody will understand.

The whole process itself is very, step by step and simple to follow. You can read the main Quantum Cookbook, or hear the book in an audio format. If you have been following me on twitter, you'll have seen me post several quotes and ideas recently. These were all from the Quantum Cookbook.

In the Quantum Cookbook, the author clearly states, that despite all your wants, goals and dreams. All these can fall into 1 of 10 areas. I went over my usual want list. By, Joe he was right. This makes fulfilling them much easier. I have fewer things to remember.

Whilst going over the material, I was yet again reminded...I keep moaning about a certain situation in my life. Only for the situation and circumstances to still be here. I want why? You get what you focus on! Sometimes I feel like I'm running into a brick wall - yes, not the best metaphor.

I think you are given all the information you need to begin manifesting consciously and successfully. There are many courses like this, that cost so much more and leave you with more questions than answers.

It also details reasons as to why, things might not be going as expected. This I thought had some excellent pointers. The whole course is excellently put together and can be quickly put into practice.

There are some interviews with well respected quantum physic authors and manifestation experts. These are a real bonus.

The course consists of a book, which is a good read and is full of useful ideas and help. It contains many useful examples to help you get the most from the method. Manifestation pocket sized cards, so that you can carry your intention with you wherever you go.

There is a condensed version of the book in audio format. One CD is a complete walk through of the method.

Oh and a big plus, free international shipping! Now, that doesn't happen often.

Review - Mike Dooley - Manifesting Change: It Couldn’t Be Easier"

I'm a great fan of Mike and his Notes from the Universe daily emails.

Some of these quick daily messages are real gems. I've several plaster on my laptop desktop. I'll often send them off to my friends, some that I think they would appreciate.

This is the 3rd of Mike's audio series that I've listened to. It is actually two recordings of the same or very similar material. It is actually a very clever idea. One that is often employed, it seems by IMers. Present the same material, yet in a variety of formats.

One set is a live recording whilst Mike was on his world tour. The other is a studio officially recorded version. Both offer much the same material, yet it is good to hear it again, so quickly. You'll certainly learn more things by listening to the material twice.

The material is about 'how to get what you want'. What separates this from much of the material out there is

  1. Mike's personal experience with the 'law of attraction'. He has manifested things to a extent that is well worth aspiring to.
  2. TUTs are used extensively. They back up what he is teaching, in very simple yet in many profound ways.
  3. His starting point is HAPPINESS. Not the materials or trappings or even things that you would put on your vision board etc.
This final point for me was quite a shock. Or at least I struggled with it. My vision board is chockablock full of things, that I am manifesting.

I already have my dream car. (I have seen the upgrades too!). Yet, I adore my car. Yes, it brings me great joy and happiness when I driving it, or somebody is sat in the passenger seat, next to me, roof down and the sun is shining. I even like it just sat in the drive way.

Only this weekend, I heard the best comment ever spoken by a young child about my car. Thankfully a wonderful friend was sat in the passenger seat next to me and heard it too. I wasn't dreaming it. Just wait until the child see the upgrade! It made up until that point my weekend.

Anyway. I digress. I wanted my car, and got it! Oh did it come about via many strange paths. Things happened in weird and wonderful ways. That only now do I understand where part of my solidification...YES..this is the car I want. Stories for another day!

Mike doesn't say don't go for those items. Yet it is actually the happiness and joy that those items and people bring you that you are really after. I've heard it before. Yet, I really struggle with...go for the happiness..... The items, by getting them, bring me the or much happiness. Once I have them, my happiness and joy go into over drive.

Review - Roger Hamilton - Wink and Grow Rich

Oh, this is a great little creating wealth fable. This is the second time I have listened to it. It is the third such story that I've read or heard in the last week or so. Roger Hamilton is pretty popular amongst many of the people that I've been fortunate enough to study with and follow over recent months. His Wealth Dynamics personal survey is good stuff too. Available here.

The basic premise is that you follow a 9 year old as he asks other people where he lives about how they became wealthy. He has to battle against his father's ideas and thoughts, as do many of us. You follow him as he begins to understand and grow his vision and what it really takes to become wealthy.

As the introduction states. The story is behind the actually story. I didn't hear any language patterns or embedded commands, yet the metaphor is great. I learnt more from this second listening than I did from the first time that is for sure. I wonder what will happen if I listen to it another 5 or 10 times, is is subtly implied.

This perfectly compliments the other stories that I've heard recently. It details things that the others miss or skim over i.e. leverage, working for money and investing your time for money, missed opportunity.

One thing I really liked was that the hard copy book actually contains drawings and pictures. Roger et al. have put the images on-line for you to actually view. You don't have to listen to a description and guess about the diagram or drawing as you often do with other books. Some of the pictures are quite detailed and require several viewings to fully grasp what has been drawn and is being said by the pictures.

This little story can be heard very quickly, yet the information is potentially powerful, if you hear the story behind the story.

This is why you'll most likely have to listen to or read it multiple times. I will certainly have to. I'm sure I missed one or two pieces.

The World is waiting, anticipating..

If there are another fables worth checking out, let me know please, thanks.

Review - George S. Clason - The Richest Man in Babylon

This book is similar to The Instant Millionaire in that it is a fable about how to become wealthy. You follow the story of various people about in the legendary The city of Babylon.

It is a great little read. The actually book, although a fable is a great 'how to'. I actually think it needs to be read more than once. Again like SOGR. You'll miss many things or just think, that was nice.

I took a much greater interest in it, the second time around. The advice offered is simple, yet timeless and classic. Just quell the internal demons and follow the advice.

Again the story raises questions that are asked and answered by the fable. I think it is worthwhile read, which unlike, The Instant Millionaire, it has a very clear path for you to follow, yet it is not as heavy in exercises etc. as some 'official' how to courses.

For examople, it details how to handle peole that magically appear when you have come into wealth. It details a very simple, yet profound way to pay off your debts and continue into prosperity

Of your earned income -

10% is yours to keep and 'jingle' in your pocket
70% is what you live off and use to clothe, eat and live
20% you use to pay off all your debts.

It details that you must contact all your creditors (people you owe money to) and tell them what you are doing. You'll find that many if not all will accept your agreement. If you want more money in the future, it helps if you can show that you pay back your debts.

Without realising it I did something very similar to this when I cleared all my debts from university in record time. Now I wonder why I stopped.

The audio version is available here . I really like the audio version. Who ever is the narrate I thought was brilliant. He really bought the fable to life.

Mark Fisher - The Instant Millionaire: A Tale of Wisdom and Wealth

This little book has been recommended to me several times over the past few years by a friend of mine. The author, Mark Fisher, himself is a multimillionaire. All ways good I think if you're going to be writing about something and offering advice. Should you not be walking the talk and not just talking it?

Can a story make you rich? I don't know. All I know is that from my own experience of hearing and delivering metaphors and stories. I know just how powerful they can be.

This simple story is about a young man who wants to be rich and spends time with an old man who is a multi millionaire. During their time together the old man challenges the young man about his beliefs, actions and ideas and about what it takes to become rich.

I have the audio copy of this book in my car. Whenever I don't know what to listen to or I've finished something else. I nearly always reach for this. It can be heard in a few hours. I don't know why, yet I just keep listening to it. It is much easier to listen to than other things since there are no exercises to complete. No 30 day challenges to undergo. Maybe that is why I like it. Its power lies in its simplicity. I don't know how many times I've heard the recording over the past year. Just many.

There are several of these wealth fables that without realising, teach you and your unconscious mind how to realise your wealth potential. This for me is one of the best.

All I really know is that I'll be listening to this one again very soon. I would urge you to find it for yourself and use it as another way to impart what is pretty much standard advice about the wealthier being. Yet, this has no exercises to follow or daily affirmations etc. That must be good, since you'll just sit back, relax and enjoy reading or listening to a really good story.

Review - Bob Proctor - The Science of Getting Rich

This program is made up of several CDs and a workbook. Although the CDs reference cassettes. So I assume, the material has just been transferred over from one medium to another.

This, for me, is the excellent follow up and much needed study guide to Wallace Wattles - The Science of Getting Rich book. It fills in the gaps that I found missing in the book itself. Or now perhaps I should say, just missed...widely

Bob is enthused by this little book (SOGR). I got the impression from listening to him, that he is as excited and as passionate about this little book as much today as the first time he was introduced to it and read it.

Bob, reads the book, SOGR, to you and with you. He comments on nearly each line, certainly each paragraph. He asks many questions of you and about the text.

There are further questions that you must answer within his accompanying guide.

Whilst following along with him. I finally began to 'get' the book. I now am beginning to understand, why so many people like this book. If you want to get the most out of SOGR. This guide is great. Bob is going to expect you to do quite a lot of 'work'. No, work is perhaps the wrong word. Play, investigation, reflection and listening are better. The 1st CD alone, he wants you to listen to 6 times. Bob quotes somebody else, by saying each time you listen or read the same book. You discover something new within yourself. This happened to me numerous times listen to the first CD and going over the book. I've heard 'these' things before. Yet they struck accord with me this time.

You will answer many questions. Your answers will vary each time you go over the book, hear him and ponder what he asks of you.

Yet, as he states in his introduction. Each time you read or hear something, you learn or are open to hearing and learning something new. You discover something about yourself.

I think this is why many of us read the same type of book over and over again. We are wanting to hear that piece, that sentence, that explanation that makes all of the information we know 'click' into place.

I never knew or understood even how powerful page one of SOGR was, until now. Somehow even that first page is now a masterpiece.

Isn't it funny how every leader, guru or teacher seems to says, "I read every book, attended every seminar, so yo don't have to". Yet, I think most of us do, because we're wanting the one explanation that makes sense to us. I'm sure most of us could write our own books on these subjects, yet for whatever reason we don't. We don't even follow the advice given. I think because, we think we know better. Yet, we don't. Otherwise we'd be where we would want to be!

This is not a one time listening program. Neither now is the book, The Science of Getting Rich. Thanks to Bob's guidance, this may very well have to go on my yearly to read list. The CDs and workbook will take time, yet I think it is time well spent.

SOGR is so small, it could be missed by many, including myself. Yet, now I think it will sit by my bed so that I read a chapter before I go to sleep, so I can further understand this classic.

My experience was, Bob wil ask you to listen to certain CDs and sections again and again. At first even I went urgh! Then again, isn't that what most of us do nearly all the time? We don't follow instructions to the letter. Then we wonder why we get the same results. Thus, under duress. I carried on listening to the first CD before I didn't anything else.

You have more power and potential within you than any current circumstance or event. You can earn a 7 figure income with just one change in thought

I read the little book and I was struck when answering the follow up questions. One question is "in which department or your life: body, mind, or soul do you feel greatest lack?"

When I heard this the 1st time I thought life. Yet on reading what makes up each 'department'. I realised that actually according it Wallace's criteria I'm missing some of his ideas that make a full mind. Yet in all 3 areas I'm missing some key compenents. Some days each department appears full. On other days, certain departments are completly empty.

These and other insights I think you get from going over and over the text and follow up questions. Despiste the temptation, don't do it!. Do as you are asked. Then move on.

A point that did strick me was. Wallace states that if you follow things in a certain way, you'll get like results. Ok...that I understand. Then he says, you don't get rich by saving and being thrifty. You begin to wonder why we are heavily taught to save by our banks, financial institutions and governement. Is it perhaps for every dollar, pound, yen you save. They can reuse it 8 times? It makes you wonder. Then again, your bank will tell your house is an asset. Your house is only an asset to the bank, not to you. Ergo, if they tell you to save, who is it really good for?

Don't get me wrong, I do save, in an 'opportunity fund'. You should have ready cash on hand for when it is needed. Yet, I do wonder. If you follow the 'herd', will you then not get 'herd' results?

Again, it comes back to doing things in a certain way. Would I suppose we have been taught or learnt to do it the wrong way. Thus, it keeps us where we are?

Review - Wallace Wattles - The Science of Getting Rich

Becoming Rich is an exact science according to this book. It is a very small and compact book. You can read it over a weekend if not within a few hours. It is regarded by many as a classic in the field of wealth creation and prosperity mindset. This is the book that started The Secret.

It stipulates that if you do things in a certain order and way, you can become nothing but rich. Several questions pop into my head:

  1. Why do we not know the order?
  2. Why are we not taught the order?
  3. Why do we not follow the order?

The book is a collection of chapters. Each chapter details a principle that you must use and follow with unerring faith. If you do you will be come rich. I would have liked the book to have more formal structure i.e.

Step 1
Step 2
Step 3
= Result you want.

I felt whilst reading, Wallace was eluding to something: a power, a system or something more than he was letting on to. Or he was leaving something out of the book. Things seemed to me to be inferred yet not referenced directly.

I wonder why?

I am pretty certain, if you can read through the lines, this is an awe inspiring book, worthy of further investigation and study. Yet, for me it was just another book about you and your wealth potential. There was something missing. Yet, I don't know what.

Review - Charles Fillmore - Prosperity

It's not often I read a book and go wow. In fact I can't remember the last time I did that.

This little book, is quite frankly...excellent. For me it was a real eye opener. Growing up I spent five years at a Cathedral School here in the UK. Thus religious overtones and teachings were everywhere. I don't remember being taught anything about money, wealth and prosperity. In fact I don't remember being lambastered about sinners either. Yet I'm sure like much religious teaching it is all done subtley.

I liked this book because things I know and have heard constantly were given a very different and prosperous slant. Serveral things came to me and were given a reframe whilst reading the book. The final chapter on the fear and power of money was worth paying for the book alone.

The book details ideas about God as your true source of prosperity. Naturally the bible is quoted heavily. Yet, it asked the reader to look beyond the words and at the 'true' meaning of the sentance or phrase. This to me, is the real magic of the book. I think it will make you question much of what you have heard and think you know about your own religious teachings.

I'm really into EFT at the moment as a way of releasing my negative beliefs and emotions. I had a huge experience of letting go of a negative belief. What really surprised me was, although the belief itself was perhaps small in 'release power'. I was holding on to the belief for dear life. That really, really surprised me. I just didn't know. I went around the rest of the day in sheer bliss. How many more beliefs do I have like that?

The end of the book is filled with questions about the chapters you have read to further facilitate your learning and understands of the material presented.

It now makes me want to read the Millionaires of the Bible Series by Catherine Ponder. I wonder what she'll point out to me.

Charles' book, I think is worth reading again and maybe even again. Maybe it will go on my 'to be read yearly list'. I just wish an audio version was available. You can get a hardcopy version at Amazon or it is availble on line for free at ForgottenBooks.org .

Review - Abraham Hickks - The Astonishing Power of Emotions: Let Your Feelings Be Your Guide

The 3rd book in the series. According to them, it is their most powerful.

The format now is becoming very familiar. A short introduction. Then Jerry reads the answers that have been provided by Abraham through Ester.

Much of the book is about working out where you are in relation to what you want in terms of vibrations or feelings. The concept of upstream and downstream is excellent. A great analogy, that makes the whole 'law of attraction' concept easy to grasp and understand.

Jerry spends lots of time, talking you through various scenarios, where you might be (upstream) and how you can begin to think going to downstream towards what you want easily and effortlessly.

The final piece is of a recorded seminar. I think often, this is where the real meat is and worth the wait.

The concept of vibrational alignment was made to sound very simple indeed. I'm sure it is, if you're going downstream. Nothing what you want is upstream (negative feelings), yet we all spend much of our time going upstream. So the obvious question is how can I make it easy, turn around and go downstream. That I didn't really hear, except for the phrase. I am where I am and that is enough. I've just got to feel 'relief' more.

The next question is what next? After these three books, what comes after them?

Review - The Science of Mind by Ernest Holmes

A steal at just under $5 from learnoutloud.com. I listened to the audio version. It lasts over 9 hours. If you prefer a hard copy grab it from Amazon.

This book comes with a great pedigree.

The Science of the Mind was originally published in 1926 by the founder of the worldwide Religious Science movement. It was completely revised in 1938 by Ernest Holmes and Maude Allison Latham; this 1997 edition is the 1938 version with an added introduction by Jean Houston and a one-year study program that breaks the weighty tome into digestible bits. Using creative techniques, Holmes guides the student in easy-to-follow steps toward mastering the powers of the mind to find purpose in life. His explanations of how to pray and meditate, heal oneself spiritually, find self confidence, and express love have helped millions change their lives for the better.

For me, the audio seemed to just go on and on and on. Perhaps despite my keeness. Now was not the time to listen to it. So many other things were going on during that week. Maybe that was it. It just didn't gel for me. Yet the reviewers on Amazon nearly all seem to love it.

Summed up, it is saying you create your own reality. Yet for $5. It's a great addition, worthy of a second visit, some time in the future.

Review - Claude M Bristol - The Magic Of Believing

Saturday afternoon, I had an hour to kill (interesting visual!). I ended up walking for an hour and listening to Claude M Bristol's - The Magic Of Believing. This comes with a pretty good reputation.

To me, it was alright. Nothing outstanding. It is pretty old. Perhaps because of its age, it is a little staid and dry for me.

Perhaps this set the bench mark for books that are more recent. I'm sure there was one of two lines that struck a cord with me..yet..

I've not much more to add or can't remember much...enough said really.

Review - Lee Pulos - The Power of Visualisation

I listened to the abridged version of this audio/book program.

I'm sure that if you've not spent much time visualising or reading up on such things. This wouldn't be a bad introduction. It is only an hour or so long.

I was however expecting so much more.

I think a better title would have been How To Visualize.

There were numerous techniques to help you visualize and improve your visualization skills.

It could have been called How to Image Steam. Much time was spent detailing how to visualize and image stream. The garden visualization is excellent. However if you want that and more detail on the potential of Image Streaming. Pick up the book, The Einstein Factor by Win Wenger. After all he is the creator of Image Streaming.

Thankfully there were some examples of the potential power of visualization and what potentially you could achieve using the technique. The final guided imagery exercise was excellent too. It was using your Image Stream garden that you create earlier in the recording and then meeting up with you wise sage.

I may do that exercise again. Then again, I'd like to have the induction of Wendi Friensen and the questions of Lee Pulos. That I think may be the ultimate "Meet Your Sage Induction". Do you have any recommendations for other MYS inductions?

There is a much longer course, which maybe offers more. Yet for me I'll stick with The Einstein Factor et al for now.

Review - Randy Gage - Crafting Your Vision

This is a collection of 1hr talks by a variety of people on the subject of vision. By listening to the talks you'll learn what a vision is and is not. How to create and manifest your own vision, maybe even your life purpose.

I thought some talks are better than others. Some speakers are even mentioned by other speakers. Thus there are some speakers on vision who really understand what a vision is and how to create it.

It gave me some people to further research, to enlarge and grow my own already successful vision. I've also learnt a few techniques that will further enhance the coming about of my vision. Some of the talks were very motivating. Some talks seemed to be rehashes of other talks.

Actually how to create and grow your own vision, didn't seem very different once you had heard the process and ideas once. Yet, some of the speakers I think really understood and felt the power of crafting, reading and going over their own vision daily. Or they just explained it with words, phrases and stories that really struck accord with me. This recording is worth listening to if you want a pep talk about vision. Some mentioned the book as a man thinketh, yet I didn't hear the one line that really stood out for me in that book

YOUR VISION IS THE PROMISE OF WHAT YOU SHALL ONE DAY BE

Be warned there is much talk use of the words uplines and downlines etc. This, I understand comes from the world of Network Marketing and MLM which Randy Gage is king at. That is how he got all these speakers to talk. They are also in this field.

I really liked listening to Richard Brooke and Lisa Jimenez especially. Randy's talk was good too. I thought I knew much of his story and life, no I didn't.

The audio is going out of production very soon, so if you want to, grab it. Now is your chance. It is a shame you can't download the tracks individually and listen to them as and when you want.

The most expensive thing is the cost of not having a dream.

Review - Abraham Hicks - The Amazing Power of Deliberate Intent

This is the 2nd book in the Abraham Hicks collection. You really need to read the first book, Ask and It Is Given. Otherwise I think this book makes little to no sense on its own.

The book is filled with negative belief examples and many positive alternatives. The beliefs themselves are on a gradient scale. Since when you're thinking negatively, you can't just look in a mirror and totally believe the complete opposite. More often that not, it is a granular process to move from your current thinking and position to where you want to be.

I must be honest and say going over all the pages and pages of beliefs, was rather tiresome. Perhaps this is because in most areas of my life I have what I want. It is just in a few areas I want my situation to improve and I know it will over time.

Similarly to the first book, there are plenty of exercises, that will help you maintain positive feelings and intents for longer, until they become your natural vibration or feeling.

I particularly liked the Wouldn't it be nice if and the wallet games. There is lots of talk about your emotional guidance system and scale. This is better explained in the first book.

Towards the end of the book. I thought they could have combined several of the chapters together to bring to book to an end sooner. As ever, there is a transcript of a workshop that they gave together. This I found quite revealing. As it takes the 'theory' and is used or spoken about in a live situation and with real people. For me, this was the real meat of the book it self.

Review - Wendi Friesen - Ultimate Confidence

Where as Ross Jeffries product is about using some of the patterns of NLP to generate unstoppable confidence within yourself. Wendi's Ultimate Confidence on the other hand is using various hypnotic inductions.

Firstly, a big yahoo to Wendi and her team for customer service. I received this as a free extra, with my 1st purchase from wendi.com. Customer service is so easy to do right and wrong. I didn't order it, it just turned up in my package.

It is 2 CD set, with several tracks on each.

Track1 is Parallel World. With this track, you're meant to meet your best self ever. So far, it really hasn't done much for me. Yet, all future pacing must be a good thing.

Deep Trance - This track teaches you to enter into a state of deep trance. I've used this on trains, buses and planes, even when I wake up at some ridiculous hour and know I really should get some more sleep. This track and technique are part of my long-haul flying strategy. It starts as an Elman induction and goes from there.

The third track is based on the Circle of Exercise. I know this from my NLP trainings. Thus I know how powerful this can be.

The final track in magnatism. I've yet, to go I wish I had more magnatism. Nobody has yet to come up to me and say I was drawn to you.

I've seen more direct results with Ross Jeffries Confidence set, yet Wendi is much easier to listen to and no exercises are required on your part. You just sit or lie back and listen...magic.

My confidence isn't something I rate on a scale of 1-10. I just know I feel confident and want to do something or I don't. If I a fear or lack of confidence, I've learnt to as much as possible face it, why?

I grow and nothing bad actually happens. Maybe I need to find a situation or area in my life where I know I'm not feeling as confident as I want to be and think about this area as I begin to listen to the CDs.

Having said that the Deep Trance training track has proved invaluable.
