Richard Bandler - Bandler Listening Overdrive

All,

As part of my 'clearing my mp3' binge that I'm on at the moment.

I seem to be on a bit of Bandler fest at the moment. If you don’t know Richard Bandler is one of the co creators of NLP. He is also an exquisite hypnotist too.

In what I understand is typical Bandler style. I couldn't tell you exactly what was said or what was done. He is phenomenal at multi level communication. i.e. one sentence multiple meanings.

I’m listening to his stuff, of which I have lots because I want to learn more about hypnotic language and language patterns. I just think and feel that these must be useful in my everyday life. I know they are since I spend much of my day doing hypnosis. Yet, I want the ‘formalized’ knowing behind it all.

I know I got many of the so called patterns of hypnotic communication, yet I also confidently know that I missed many, yet my unconscious mind is a faithful recorded of everything, it got them all! Happy Days. Listening to so much, can only but improve my communication skills and language.

Bandler does tend to repeat many of the same stories, throughout his seminars. I’ve yet to attend any of his seminars her in UK, not the greatest fan of his promoter here in the UK, Yet, he has been on my list of must sees for ages. He does seem to have a groupie following and many participants seem to laugh and any and al his jokes. Maybe I missed all the language subtlest, or was he doing a hand gesture, which since I’m listening to the audio, I’m not going to get.

He has a tendency to swear and cuss, yet that aside; he is a master story teller and ‘logical’ thinker. He’ll tell you something and you think, oh yeah, oh no, how could I have missed that? He does seem to ever now and then belittle his own excellent previous work and other NLP trainers, many of those you will know.

Maybe that was him, then and not now?

I know that very often, you’ll attend a seminar and have a headline act and several supporting cast members. I just wish he wouldn’t do it. The other presenters, no matter how good he tells you they are. They are just not in the same league. For me, they don’t even copy him that well.

I listened to Sleight of Minds; I’m sure he opened this up and said it was all about Sleigh of Mouth. Yet, to me the whole recording was about submodalitles. Not what I wanted. The quality was very poor too.

I also listened to Your Own Personal Genius - These are an exquisite collection of sessions, where Richard helps various people simple over come various issues. I’d higly recommend listening to this.

I also listened to DHE 2000 collection. This is pretty long and extensive. It is meant to take you beyond what is NLP. From the audio collection, I didn’t get this. Simplistically, it was more submodality enhancements. Instead of using what you already know about submodalities, you now begin to design your own submodality tools to enhance your life.. Maybe you had to be there.

Bandler is great to listen to. I think you’ll miss much of what is going on, unless you attend the seminars. Yet, to just soak up him, his language and skill you can’t go far wrong.

Happy Days

A
